Class Requirements:
- Age & Grade: Students should be in Grades 7-12 (ages 13-17).
- Device: A laptop or desktop (Windows, macOS, or Chromebook). Tablets are not recommended.
- Internet: A stable internet connection for live online sessions.
- Software: No installations required! The class will use a browser-based coding platform.
- Basic Computer Skills: Students should be comfortable using a keyboard and navigating a computer. No prior coding experience is needed!
- Headphones & Microphone (Optional): Recommended for better audio during live sessions.
Learning Environment: Quiet and comfortable sitting area.
Introduction to Python
In the first part of our Python coding course, students will explore the core concepts of Python, including syntax, loops, data types, and variables. This course provides a seamless transition from block-based coding, like Scratch, to Python’s text-based programming. Through engaging projects, students will develop essential Python skills while creating interactive stories, animations, and games. Key topics covered include Python syntax, variables, loops, functions, and built-in data structures.

- 📌 Prerequisites:
- 🧑💻 Grade 7 & above: No prior coding experience needed, but extra practice is recommended, throughout the class.
In Part 2 of our Python coding course, students will take their coding skills to the next level by applying Python to AI and data science. They will explore more advanced programming concepts, such as working with dictionaries, handling files, and manipulating data efficiently. Additionally, students will learn how to use Python’s powerful libraries and modules to develop interactive applications, including games, storytelling projects, and real-world data-driven solutions. By the end of this module, they will have a solid foundation in using Python for problem-solving, automation, and data analysis.

In Part 3 of our Python coding course, students will take a deep dive into advanced programming concepts, focusing on object-oriented programming (OOP). They will learn how to create and use Python classes and objects to design more complex and structured programs. Through hands-on projects, students will apply these concepts to build more complex games, interactive applications, and real-world coding challenges. This module strengthens their problem-solving skills and prepares them for more advanced coding applications in AI, data science, and software development.

In the final part of our Python programming course for kids, students will explore advanced Python concepts, including data structures like 2D arrays, as well as working with new modules and APIs for AI systems. They will take on the role of independent creators, developing their own Python projects from start to finish. To build confidence in problem-solving, students will practice reading and understanding code written by others, while learning how to navigate Python documentation to tackle new challenges beyond the scope of the lessons. By the end of the course, they will design and code a unique Python program entirely on their own.
